I had a great outing with my family. Apart from trekking the forest trail and spending time around nature, I was able to do some kayaking in the lake for the first time. Great place to hang out. I would recommend though that they invest in getting more animals there for a wholesome experience.

I really love this place. It is so close to nature. The air here is fresh and the atmosphere is serene. As I entered this park, I felt peace. It was as if I had left lagos and its traffic and wahala. This place is so cool and calm and made me connect to nature. I really thought of my hometown while I was here. This place is a good place to cool off. I wish it had a lodging in it. My favorite spot is the ekki forest. There are tall trees which are said to be very strong and over 100 years. The most interesting thing about this forest is the forest bathing which is said to have some natural benefits like relieving stress etc Did I mention there is a zoo here? There are goats, donkey, horse, monkey, duck, tortoise. The tortoise is said to be over 100 years. There are outdoor games here, table tennis etc There is also a children play ground.

Lufasi Nature Park is really a park as the name implies. Very clean and cared for. A good place to relax and enjoy nature. The areas I love most are the forest bath the Lake. It is usually very busy on weekends than on week days. The summer time is also the best time to visit. During the rainy season it can be muddy in some area.

My kids loved this place. They have a few petting animals. The scenery is beautiful with lots of trees and a man made lake. There is space to hold small outdoor parties for kids like birthdays. You pay an entrance fee to use the place and it has a decent car park. They are guides to show you around. Very good for photography

LUFASI nature park Lagos is in Ajah , Lekki Epe Expressway, Lagos This is a park known for wild animals . It is also a place for recreational for people who wish to come there. Very serene environment with trees, forestry, and beautiful rivers. You get to hear the perching of birds upon entering. The LUFASI Nature Park is not a zoo but a conservation park on about 20 acres of land. The full name is Lagos Urban Forest and Animal Shelter Initiative. It is more conducive for picnics, group hangouts and excursions for pupils and students. Our tour guide took us round showing us the collection of animals within the park such as monkeys, civet, 100 year old turtle, the lake and other attractions. Parking is ample and there are park benches littering the park.

Nature park in the middle of bustling Lekki. When you drive across the inner gate, traffic sounds fade away, the air gets cooler and you feel fully immersed in Nature. I went for a meeting here and did not do the full tour but from what I saw, the place is well maintained, there is parking but that was a weekday and the space will quickly fill up on weekends and public holidays so plan your parking ahead There are lots of birds in the park and you could go birdwatching here with good results, a friend identified several migratory species when I visited in middle of March 2019. A fun and educational place to go alone, with friends and family Suitable for younger kids and will be good for an educational excursion to teach school kids about nature

If you love nature, the is the right place to visit! With nature at it’s peak, tranquility, absolute clean environment, excellent customer service and a wonderful tour guide, I love this park and I’ll definitely visit again. I also think more can be done on this park even though its major objective is to preserve nature. There are only few animals. Like one of the attendants said, it’s not a zoo so do not expect so much. They animals there are either rescued from a careless owner or donated to the park. The reason the park is scanty is because people are not donating to them. I met a tortoise who is 108years old. They call her Mama T. Her picture is attached. There are few games on sites too which were very useful e.g snooker, volleyball, donkey rides, swings (my best part) etc You’ll definitely have fun if you go with a fun group. Just go with a music box and good to eat. You can always get a perfect spot for few hours picnic after the tour. Go and experience it too and share with us. Lufasi Nature Park is a pristine forest reserve in Lagos. It is a privately acquired green area with natural ecosystem still protected. There is also a provision for keeping rescued animals. LUFASI sits on 20 hectares of land at the Majek area (Km 41) along the Lekki-Epe Express Way. It houses species like the Ekki “Iron Wood” tree (Lophira Alata), the critically endangered Hooded Vulture (Necrosyrtes Monachus) and the African Pied Hornbill (Tockus fasciatus). Gate Fees: Children – 500 Naira Adults – 1000 Naira. The Anatomy Of Lufasi Nature Park The park is stylishly divided into 3 and the parts include: 1. The Reception area and car park As earlier explained, this part is where every visitor gets to first see before accessing other parts of the park. The toilet (a considerably neat one) also belongs to this part. 2. The play area This portion played host to the Chickens and tortoise spaces. The horse rescue centre and table games section stood on the left, directly opposite the children’s play ground, and a beach sand field for soccer. Far ahead was the cage of the monkeys (with a dedicated guide who explained in dept all the team needed to know about the ever lively mammals). 3. The fields Stretching farther into the park is a large expanse of land featuring the artificial lake, a mini football field and the Lekki forest. How Best to use Lufasi Nature Park Couples quiet time Lufasi is one of the cutest places to have a private time with your better half if you are tired of doing eateries and malls. the gentle whistling of the breeze and naturally cool atmosphere will sure blow your mind. Children’s timeout The safety of this park is what makes it really cool for Children, as they can get to learn about nature and as well have an amazing time on the playground for as long as they want. Movie shoot Not only did we encounter people who came to shoot a scene or two of a music video, we saw Reekado Banks, a popular Nigerian hip hop artist who also was around for a shoot, using another portion of the Park. Family picnic At every point in Lufasi Nature Park are stylishly designed sitting areas suitable enough for families to comfortably have a fun time without any disturbance whatsoever form other fun-seekers or the environmental pollution on the streets of Lagos. Tips On having An Amazing Time Go with people. It’s fun. Wear Comfortable (long) clothes so as to prevent the flying insects Go with Good DSLR camera (a good camera phone will do too) Hire a cab or bus because you might be too tired after the tour to start jumping buses. The red wood Iron tree is so tall & strong, tables & seats were made out of for the park. The forest is thick & real. There are red cap/muna monkeys, civets, ducks, turtoise& rabbits. Also there are donkeys, guinea fowl, sun birds & much more. A couple of foot path are closed to visiors; Nike, the tour guide said this is to prevent people from hunting the animals.

I would consider this to be an urban park as it is somewhat surrounded by residential developments. Getting here is very easy as it off the Lekki -Epe expressway and parking was available. My best part of Lufasi was “forest bathing” or shinrin-yoku. Shinrin in Japanese means “forest,” and yoku means “bath.” So shinrin-yoku means bathing in the forest atmosphere, or taking in the forest through our senses. It is simply being in nature and connecting with it, through all our senses of sight, hearing, taste, smell and touch. You should definitely connect with nature in Lufasi and enjoy Nature! Go to Lufasi!

This is one of the very few places I would easily rate a 5 star without a doubt, if we had ratings of more than 5 stars it would easily get those as well. Where do I start from, Lufasi Park is an amazing jewel nestled in the bustling city of Lekki and provides what you might call the "perfect getaway" for all sorts of events, even if it is just to get away from everything. I was thrilled the #googlelocalguides/#lagoslocalguides/#nigerialocalguides chose this location to celebrate the #worldenvironmentday. And a location we will definitely be visiting sometime soon.
