The Alvan Ikoku College of Education is undoubtedly the "fillet" of teacher education in Nigeria and the West of Africa. The college has a strong academic culture and a long history of excellence in the area of teacher education in Nigeria. However, I am actually disappointed with the VERY LOW level of publicity about this college and the SHOCKINGLY and HORRENDOUS website that offers ABSOLUTELY NO real information about this prestigious institution. However, Alvan Ikoku remains an "un awarded" champion.
