  • U
    Uchechukwu Enem
It is a very busy and crowded roundabout. I think the government should look at expanding the road no matter the coast. The road is naturally too narrow and now that it is being crowded with many traders, it makes the road smaller. Everytime, there is always traffic along this road.. Since it is a major round about leading to four other roads, it makes it unique, important and a road of priority
  • S
    SUNDAY CHUKWUDI

The kind of recklessness and traffic jam due to indiscipline experienced here is pathetic. It has remained same for years. The roads needs expansion. Drivers and cyclists need to be disciplined and stick to traffic rules.

A major road intersection, Ekwulobia Roundabout is a meeting point for people from various parts of Anambra State and beyond. It has motor parks housing transport companies that convey travellers to different parts of Nigeria including Awka, Umuahia, Port Harcourt, Onitsha, Benin City, Enugu, Lagos, Abakaliki and Owerri. Business activities thrive around the motor park areas. You can buy fresh fruits at affordable prices, electronics, fashion wears, building materials, furniture, household supplies etc. Major commercial banks also have branches here. Major landmarks nearby include St Joseph Catholic Pro-cathedral, St John Anglican Cathedral and Aguata Local Government secretariat located about a kilometer away. The area is populated by civil servants, traders, students of the Federal Polytechnic Oko, artisans, bankers and law firms.

A unique thing about this roundabout is that it is surrounded by shopping malls, stores, motor parks, fuel stations, etc. This makes it easy for travelers to pick items for everything including enough drinks for any magnitude of occasion.
