Utako Market is in the heart of Abuja near Berger Bus-stop and the famous Utako and Jabi parks. The price of food items in this market is quite affordable and competitive... especially if you can negotiate well...there are lots fruits vendors...as well as "meats" vendors...from goat meat...to guinea fowl...chicken and other forms of meat products right from the market gates advertising their wares...the price of plantain is also very reasonable in the market...love the various spices that vendors move around with advertising to buyers...all in all it is good...clothes , shoes, and other fashion items are also quite affordable here...however you should be wary of traffic...or park some distance from the market gates...then walk in....

The Utako Ultra modern market is quite large and open like most markets in Nigeria. Although it seems to be undergoing renovations, there are lots of food items and home essentials available in the market. They have sections for fresh vegetables, fish, mechanical, electrical, meat, crops, spices etc. Wares are displayed inside and outside the shops. The walkways are busy as people move in and out. ♿Quite difficult for people with disability to access the market, hopefully this would be considered as renovations continue.

The market used to be a very user friendly market , until they started building structures. This new construction made the market to become congested. The major problem is parking spaces. There is no more parking spaces for buyers and sellers to park. The small availability spaces are not sufficient at all. Inside the market is okey. The prices are moderate and one can get almost everything you want here. Its a clean market and a bit well structured. The access road has little traffic, and the roads are small. If the market can be structured well, it is going to turn out to be a great tourist attractions.
