Nkechi AnaedobeOne of the things that irks me a lot about natural hair salons in Abuja is the slipshod manner in which attendants detangle hair. Always in a hurry and with a marked lack of Knowlege. I found that wasn’t the case with Lumo’s Pros Ambience: ✅. Lumo was always airy and quite clean. There was always someone on hand to quickly clean up and hairs and spills. The television was always on a volume allow enough that I never heard a client complain. In addition it was always on a station/channel which wasn’t inappropriate for kids Product/Service: ✅. Good knowledge on the most part of how to treat natural hair, focused detangling and appropriate sectioning of hair before wash and my go-to two strand twists were always nicely and quickly done Pricing: ✅. This isn’t a biggie. Pricing is about the same for natural salon services across Abuja Customer Service: ✅. It’s a big deal to be able to plan my day and Lumo offers an ‘appointment only’ service. This means there’s hardly a hike when you go there and aren’t attended to on schedule Cons Product/service. ❌. I’d used products of theirs which damaged my hair and those of my kids. I hear that was a faulty batch and has been changed and when I work up the nerve to try, I’ll update. In addition, I’d come across one or two attendants who assumed they knew all about kinky hair and were detangling wrong and giving me a headache. However a call to the manager who’s always within earshot was quite often enough to correct that
