Nice ambience. You could either sit inside the restaurant or the outdoor area. I had the Jamaican Jerk Chicken and Fried Rice which was really tasty while my friend had the Fish in Potato with wedges. I found the prices to be affordable compared to some other restaurants I had been to. It was a wonderful dining experience and I will definitely visit again

The Charcoal Grill has really tasty dishes. Service can be slow which is very irksome but dishes sort of make up for it. They serve a bowl of fresh popcorn while you wait. The outdoor seating area overlooks one of Abuja’s busiest streets, while the internal space has two seating areas. One I prefer to see as a breakfast room. The Charcoal is good for families with kids too especially because of the choices of entertainment. No TV showing questionable music. With smaller kids though, space might be a challenge unless you’re seating outdoor. I’d recommend the grilled tilapia dishes first and then the lamb dishes. Those were my faves.

I went to this restaurant because of the reviews. But hahahaha, I actually wonder if some of the reviews are paid for. None of my family could not eat their food. I ordered for curry and what i got was a far cry from curry; consistency and taste wise. If it tasted nice, wouldn’t have been an issue but it didn’t. I told the waiter and sure they were nice enough to change the food but unfortunately the stew they changed it to was just as bad; poor cooking of the tomatoes, lack of seasoning etc Took it as takeaway but couldn’t even bother to reseason when i got home. It’s a nice looking place, the customer service could have been better but the most important thing though...

Loved the food here but not the stairs to the top. No lift in the building therefore accessibility is limited. Loved the outdoor set up at the rooftop and the restrooms were clean. Another snag was parking as the restaurant is located in a building with other shops. The burgers are great! And the breakfast selection is popular here with well made sausages pancakes and waffles.

One of my favorite restaurants in Abuja. The prices are decent and the food is great! Friendly and efficient staff. On average, an order takes about 20 minutes to arrive. They used to serve free popcorn to guests on arrival, but they don’t seem to do that anymore. I recommend this place for a quiet meal (where you can have a decent conversation without having to yell). As for the food, I recommend the full English breakfast, the peppered Gizzard and the cocktails. NOTE: You have to climb about 3 flights of stairs, and there are no lifts or escalators/ wheelchair accessibility.

The charcoal grill is a dual purpose spot designed for lounging and dinning. It is located on the same plaza with KFC and Tutti Frutti. It provides a comfortable indoor experience as well as a refreshing outdoor feel with its balcony space. Their menu has a wide range of meals and they offer a three course meal option. The lounge area boasts of some fun activities like smoking of hookah, karaoke on Sundays and loud music. I’ve had their Caesar salad, it was so delicious. Dont visit in the afternoon easpeically on a sunny day. Second time at charcoal and i had their famous all day english breakfast. The egg wasnt seasoned properly compared to the egg i had Tiki culture, the fresh juice that accompanied the breakfast was served hot. The only redeeming thing about charcoal was the nice waiter and service she rendered. Past rating of 2 stars still stand
