Akanu Ibiam airport Enugu. Not big airport but good one . Everything is easily accessible . Is neat and clean . Having ample parking. At airport you can see so many stores , food court, executive lounge

It is an amazing place to be. Serene and beautiful. There are basically three airlines here,Air peace,Arik and Ethiopian airlines. There are different stores for books,cloths, bags, snacks and more. The airport has different units and an ATM stand too.

Akanu ibiam local and international airport , both collocates at the airport called akanu Ibiam international airport. Which is about 8 minutes from the city center The airport service both passengers and cargo. Local air service conducted by Arikair and airpeace airlines. Akanu ibiam is one of the airports run by FANN The local wings of both arrival and departure are pretty small The air port Male toilet is always with bad odour, crying for cleaning. Both arrival and departure halls are usually dirty, with alot of broken and uncomfortable chairs. Ventilation is usually a problem with non functioning air conditioners. Those that works are full of grinding noise. The airport need better care especially sanitation. Public address system is terrible, you will definitely miss your flight if you count on your hearing, you have to ask and watch.

This airport falls among the average airports in Nigeria. Every basic thing is available. Although the metal detector door at the entrance is pretty ridiculous. As at this time only Arik and Airpeace flies here and Ethiopian Airways flies international. The airport is easily accessible from town.

This airport is located in one of the safest cities of Nigeria. It is easily accessible from any part of the city. This is the only international airport southeast of Nigeria, yet it looks like a glorified train station. There is need for serious upgrade. Currently, Ethiopian Airline is the only international carrier operation here.

I Visited this airport some years back and i can tell you the airport is really beautiful. I love the location. very close to town. There are cab drivers standby. In my blog post i mentioned the major airlines that are operating the airport. The two airlines indicated in my blog post are Arik and Air peace. Search for sagetravel you will read more on it and the number of flights they have per day.

Hmmm...Glad we have an international flight to sought that region. However, services is still at a very low level. BAGGAGE pick up was a nightmare, check in for Departures was a Tug of war and waiting area on a full flight was people packed nicely in a can of Sardine. Etiophian airline staff are nice and they do their best to work around the challenges at that airport. There is tremendous room for improvement.

It looks as if only two airlines are active here: Air Peace and Arik being sparingly present. Tickets appear to be always sold out and online booking is almost impossible. Runway appears to be the worst in Nigeria. It needs a serious maintenance as soon as possible.

This Airport was recently renovated by the then minister of aviation during the last administration era. The quality of service at the hotel is very poor. The restroom in very bad shape and not well maintained. The luggage screening section is a big apology. The personnel are more interested in extortion than doing their screening work. Government should do something about this. Good thing to note is that Airpeace airline made it on time and departed at the scheduled time. Their baggage checking in counter is another extortion point.
