The hills and forests hold great views in the peaceful area. Well tarred roads lead you up or down the hilly Ngwo area. Your main sources of transportation will mostly be tricycles and commuter buses, as there are no bikes allowed to commute in Enugu. In the city centers, you should be able to get taxis as well. Had an enjoyable stay.

Ngwo Pine Forest Forest is located in Old Enugu-Onitsha Rd, Ngwo-Asaa, Nigeria. The forest is a treat to watch as it is considered a great scenic beauty. There is a dozen of fascinating caves built from limestone, which are nothing but god gifted to the local people of the region. Ngwo Pine Forest attracts many local as well as international tourists. There is also a pool formed at the base of the caves through the natural waterfall. The tourists come here to enjoy and relax. If you have a hectic schedule and tired of doing a lot of work then you can visit here. It will remove all the stress and make your body super light.

This is a forest with a beautiful canopy coverings of pine trees. It is located in a farming community on the outskirt of Enugu, the capital of Enugu state. The park is free to enter but you would have to negotiate with the locals to take you to the waterfall inside a cave for a fee. You can have picnics at the park with family and friends and it is best to have your mosquito repellent handy. The journey to the caves look scary because there is no defined path but the locals seem to have mastered the way.

Nice environment and usually cold at evenings. No security. No rest room. There are restricted areas with danger tapes and ropes. Strictly for nature lovers else you’ll be bored. Never go alone.

The pine forest is fine and there is a cave down the hill. However, you will walk a long distance in the lonely forest before getting there. Best to go in group. Overall, It was an awesome experience

The Ngwo Pine Forest in itself is a tourism destination. Even more, it is the gateway to the breathtaking Ngwo cave and waterfall. You should visit especially if you reside in South Eastern Nigeria...and make sure you take a bath in the spring waters from the cave

forest with an amazing level of serenity and coolness in the pine forest as expected the to large presence of tree canopy and far away from the urban setting, it sure makes a good tourist destination! incase U want to re act love scenes from Nollywood and just have fun with a loved one or maybe just spend some alone time to reflect then this is the spot to be! Just go along with camping equipment and some insect repellent. Incase of long walks through the forest then go in a group!

This is not a tourist site but a sustainable timber producing forest reserve, property of the Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources, managed by the state forestry service, or commission in Enugu state. Recent COFO 24 survey, findings and proposals reviewed by committee on forest held in Rome in July 2018.
