Its a 0lace where fresh and can food items can be purchased. Its serves people in the locale and also the University community. It has been in existence for a very long time several years ago. Presently, its beginning to have some modern structures come alive here.

Ekpoma market along Benin-Auchi Road is large. There is a large motor park in the market. All passengers board vehicles bound to neighbouring towns like Uromi, Auchi, Abuja, Benin City e.t.c. All sorts of food items ranging from tubers to all kinds of vegetables are sold in the market. Processed food such as biscuits, soft drinks and alcohol are also available. This market is noted for fairly cheap articles and people come from all over the place to purchase goods every four days because the market is every four day.
