The entire environment is exotic and cozy. There are lots of greens and attractive palm tress. Adjacent the main entrance is a swimming pool complimented by a gymnasium. Most accommodation are suites and semi suites which provides serenity and comfort giving you the requisite atmosphere of home away from home.

Staff lacked training; management and staff were clueless on proper customer service. I booked 3 rooms for family; paid full price, While check-inn staff advised on what was covered. After checkout, management came in to say we needed to pay extra money for breakfast....which we were specifically in the full price we paid. She was bickering with staff in front of paying guests. All need re-training.

I once loved this place (between 1998 and 2003) but now it is like a ghost town. A very big hotel (in terms of land mass) just sitting there.

Palm Royal Hotel is a stone throw from my residential apartment. It has enormous expanse of land with beautiful look through the express tarred road that links to University of Benin. Unfortunately, the hype of it description is not what is obtainable in reality. Maybe from my own perspective of view, who knows?

What I love about the place are the very Tall Palm Trees that are in front of the hotel. So beautiful. Neat environment, there are snooker, swimming pool, bar and to mention but a few. Wonderful rooms with air condition. I will visit them again when I come to Benin city. Benin my hometown. Edo the Heart beat of the nation. I am proud to be from benin. The hotel is very easy to locate because it is beside the road and its so catchy because of the palm trees. Very attractive. Staff are good and ok. It has a big parking lot. Secured and be rest assured your are in safe hands. Uniben students are always many there because of the side attraction there. Visit them and enjoy your stay in Benin.

Spent a night here with my family on our trip to the East. The dinner was delicious yet quite expensive. Lucky for us, we were able to negotiate our lodging price to a more affordable amount. The outdoor type suite (think individual bungalows) contained a living room, dining area, kitchenette, bathroom and two bedrooms. The interior was clean and neat although it lacked a modern look. Overall it served its purpose and was decently comfortable so I would recommend it to any wanting to lodge around the area.
