The NYSC permanent camp is a place for 3 weeks NYSC orientation for Nigerian youth under the age 30 years. It is usually located 1 per State across the 37 States of Nigeria. Fortunately, the Ebonyi State camp has been upgraded to a very comfortable camp by governor nweze umahi of ebonyi State. It is believed to be one of the most beautiful and most comfy NYSC camp in Nigeria with security street light all over the premises. The water supply is WOW. The road network it superb.

GOWON FAVOUR

This is the Nysc Orientation camp for all corpers posted to Ebonyi state. It is located in Afikpo north. An hour drive from the capital city of Abakaliki. Its a nice place but there is power (light) outage in Afikpo generally.

Network signals(internet connection only) Glo: 3/5 MTN: 2/5 Airtel: 3/10 Electricity: 5am - 7am, 7pm - 10pm, 2/5 N.B: Charging of phones in hostel is prohibited, get ready to charge your phone at mammi for #50. Water: Ok, 3/5 Weather: Hot as hell for southerners and ok for northerners( I asked around) Military officers: Harsh at first but really nice and funny people when get to know them. Food: Mammi food is cheap(#250 - #300 per plate), Kitchen food is nice but a little bit small. Photographers: Annoying, always blocking us Hostel: Average room, not too good toilet for boys and good toilet for girls. Generally, get ready to join line before you do/get everything; food, allowance, water, charge phone etc

This place is poor and very scary. Poor accommodation, hostel always congested, poor toilet and bathroom provision. Terrible auditorium with no ceiling, no flooring(all dusty), walls not painted, doors are made of iron rods and are totally not a cover. The pitch is a poor arrangement of an eroded plain with a quite small and broken pavilion
