Transcorp Hilton Abuja is one of the best hotels in Nigeria. The service is top notch, the rooms are luxurious and properly maintained with courteous staff and services. The meals are very good and the ambience properly maintained. There are several restaurants and clubs within the hotel. There are some few downsides though. You cannot control the temperature of the air conditioning in your room as it is password protected. You have to call room service everytime you need to change the settings or temperature. The halls for events need renovations and the sound is terrible. The sounds kept failing and the microphone kept going off during the event, it was really embarrassing. Lastly, the hotel operates a park and pay system, that is really strange for an hotel.

The hotel for me should be five Star. It is approachable from several points within the Federal capital territory of Nigeria; approachable from Maitama, wuse( all the zones), Central Business District (CBD),Aso Villa, National Assembly Complex route, Federal Secretariat, Asokoro District etc. Presently, there is a security control at the entrance and exit points that documents vehicular entrance and exit. Meanwhile, this is self service and also automated. The function is as follows; a driver approaches the entrance and is blocked by a security bar. From a specific distance he can press a button to his left. The device grants him access through the entrance by raising the bar while simultaneously generating a pass(entrance ticket) for him. The pass captures information such as the time of entrance, date and a unique ID for him. At the end of his business in the hotel he approaches the exit point in a similar manner as above. From a specific distance he inserts the same pass he collected during entry to the device on his left side. This device is able to recognise his pass, ID etc and access to the outside by lifting the restriction bar in front while retrieving the pass from him. A wonder full experience for a first timer.......

We even got complimentary groundnuts in the room the last time I stayed here. Also, the Bukka Restaurant on the ground floor is the truth. They have ‘all you can eat buffet’ for breakfast, lunch and I think dinner. I have never really had dinner at the restaurant. I’m pleased to share the plate of pepper soup I had at the restaurant the last time, lol.

Users should have been told before hand of the dress code to save the embarrassment at the entry door. The lounge did not have a wide variety of drinks, sparsely stocked bar shelves. I used this hotel often because I travelled in for work and during one experience, I think they overbooked, Their service team was good enough to upgrade me to the presidential suite or so? what an experience i can never forget. I had a whole house at Hilton Abuja to myself? Little me? Mind you I am an everyday working class millennial so this was a big deal! I enjoyed my night trying not to be swallowed by all the space in the room, double bathrooms, toilet, lounge etc. I cannot remember their food leaving me breathless, but the rooms and service sure did!

Well, I finally got to enter Transcorp Hilton Hotel for a concert with Dunsin and I was particularly impressed with the security, the ambience and the aesthetics. The hall was large and it had its own security check-in system. The hall was also sound proof which meant very low disturbance from the event. The parking space is well coordinated and large. I have not lodged here yet and I will edit my review to include that experience.

I just got trapped with a friend for an hour and a half at the first floor if the hotel. Elevator malfunctioned and took us to the first floor currently being renovated. Called the reception several times. Lady receptionist promised us to send security, no luck. Hotel did nothing! Funny and terrifying, Duty Manager simply handed over to the night shift Manager leaving us trapped underground!!! My association had to call Otis lifts service who got us out of the underground through a hidden restricted service elevator!!! If I had no one to call, it would gave been disastrous! Nicon Transcorp is only fancy outwardly but very unsafe and insecure. My personal experience.

The pool area is beautiful but take mosquito repellent if you want to eat or grab a drink outside- the number of mosquitos in the evening insane. I would also recommend that the management put signs up for residents to not bang the doors every time they enter or leave the room. The walls are thin and it was an annoyance. Either way I will be back and look forward to it.

This is a beautiful place, located in a very serene and iconic part of the Federal Capital Territory. There appears to be some measure of security in place but there are loopholes which miscreants can exploit. It can also be sometimes overcrowded and rowdy. I was here for a conference and I found the Congress Hall a very good conference venue, however the public address system could do with some improvement. The exhibition stands need cleaning. There always seem to be some construction works going on here. Overall, I like the place.

Had positive experience in this place. Stayed for few night. Seems to be very well secured, very clean, staff is welcoming and efficient. Multiple lounges, a few restaurants in dinner time. Of course lounges are full with "working girls" at dark hours, as in most of the hotels. Lunch cost 9,900NGN (2017) in Bukku restaurant, and no other lunch in the other restaurant. Very nice lunch. Nice location, nice view. Generally no complains.

Large and high volume hotel in the center of the capital Abuja. It is getting old but remind very actif with many large conference halls and up to 8 food and beverage outlet. Twn of them been directly by there pool which is certainely the largest one in Abuja. The ice cream parlor is not the best in town and some ice cream even have a test of oldish certainly due to the fact they stay too long in the freezer.beside this the Team is friendly and helfull.

I was a kid in Abuja in the early nineties when i was taken to Hilton and it honestly still wows till today. Literally in looks and prices. The price of coke and water here has never ceased to amaze me. Inspite of the name changes it has always maintained its five star glitz with some crazy serious "wow" effect. Great new and improved bar with different drinks served chilled to perfection, your favorite selection of beers,chapman and spirits. Abuja can be so so hot, so its definitely a good place to chill. The upgraded indoor restaurants have hosted numerous guests with their various menus to suit different palates. The air conditioning keeps up with the body count and that is a serious plus. The lobby is cool at all times, beautiful dedicated staff to give information on whatever you need. 24 hours power supply, escalators, elevators to floors filled with beautiful rooms and selfie heaven toilets, in fridge mini bars, cute soft robes and slippers. The ground floors always host one thing or the other you can only imagine, its like a shopping mall and designer market place rolled in one. They have offerings from Versace, Prada, Polo, Gap, Armani, Nigerian designers, artwork, statuettes, metal or ceramic, leather works, furniture and all.

Had a bad experience at the valet parking,i think a complain should be made,i gave my car to the valet and when i came back to collect the car the guy rushed to get the car before making my payment and then by the car said that the bill is 8500naira where i know its 1500naira so i asked him is it here where i should be doing the payment and arent there any sign of the pricing so the guy said so sir is 1500 instead of the 8500...he may hav thought am a stranger or foreign guest but thats not how a 5star hotel should be.
