The overhead pedestrian at the busiest bus stop in Awka City known as Unizik Temporary Site Junction connects Arthur Eze Avenue and Oby Okoli Avenue. The surrounding area is busy with many motor parks from where big transport companies take people to and from other cities in Nigeria. The pedestrian bridge is always busy during the day. Many times, roadside hawkers display their wares on the bridge almost blocking the way for passersby. However, traffic management officers have succeeded in dislodging these traders. The main structure is built of concrete above the Onitsha-Enugu Expressway. Big advert billboards are displayed on either side of the protective guardrail. This bridge and the entire junction serve as reference points for direction of visitors and residents. At is provided with solar-powesolar-powered lighting for night time.

The Pedestrian Bridge ensures the safety of pedestrians who commute from the ever busy Arthur Eze Avenue and the equally busy Oby Okoli Avenue, across the Enugu-Onitsha Expressway. The converging point of these two avenues on the Enugu-Onitsha Expressway had been very risky in the past, and road accidents involving pedestrians were a regular occurrence. This has been taken care of by this Pedestrian Bridge.
