The surrounding area is busy with many motor parks from where big transport companies take people to and from other cities in Nigeria. The pedestrian bridge is always busy during the day. Many times, roadside hawkers display their wares on the bridge almost blocking the way for passersby. However, traffic management officers have succeeded in dislodging these traders. The main structure is built of concrete above the Onitsha-Enugu Expressway. Big advert billboards are displayed on either side of the protective guardrail. This bridge and the entire junction serve as reference points for direction of visitors and residents. At is provided with solar-powesolar-powered lighting for night time.

Provisions should be made somewhere else for retail traders to sell and not on a pedestrian bridge. Too much activity on a pedestrian bridge. Bridge was built without consideration of wheelchair users. Lacks accessible trails or pathways.
