Uga is a great town full of hospitable locals. It is an interesting place to be during the Christmas festive period as there are local festive activities which include masquerade dance and obu ofor day on every 26th of December. Uga shares a boundary with Akokwa in Imo state. Being in uga during the festive period also gives you the opportunity to visit other interesting areas like Umuchu, Amesi, Igboukwu, Ekwulobia, Mkpologwu, Akpo, Oko, Isuofia, Nnewi, as well as Awka (capital). Uga also gives you the opportunity to navigate imo state easily, places like owerri (capital), orlu e.t.c. Uga indigenes are peace loving people which also promoted the sense of safety, security and calmness when in the environment. Social amenities in Uga includes electricity, hotels, hospitals, educational institutions, micro finance bank, obizi river resort and markets. Most of the food consumed by the locals are farmed by them. There is also a food festival called the new yam festival which is usually in the month of August. Uga is a small town which values morals and social norm so it is important to behave properly. Although misbehaving maybe overlooked, I believe you dont want the locals to avoid you and keep distant from you. You will find great scene to take lovely nature pics for those who love natural scenery. SEE YOU AT UGA UGA OBODO OMA!! UGA ALA MARA MMA!!!
