Eke Agu is the town square of Abatete town in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra state. The square, which has a local market (Eke Agu market), a Microfinance bank, timber shop and local on-premise bars, is the commercial and social-cultural centre of the people of Abatete. The bars serve premium beers like Hero Lager beer, Castle Lite, Budweiser, Eagle Lager, and Eagle Stout as well as Grand malt and Beta malt. However, there are no hotels around the square for lodging. Eke Agu is a cross-junction coming from Ogidi/Onitsha axis - ahead leads to Oraukwu town, while the left and right lead to Eziowelle and Ukhe respectively.
