samuel essangRequires modernization.....my first day in the market was to get some food stuffs to cook, going round to find where each items were was a challenge. Although I got all that I needed but ended up spending more time than required. My suggestion is for govt or authorities involved to look into modernization of the market and sectioning with good signage for directions........ Generally a good place to buy your stuffs for good meal..............................

A
Assian WilliamsA metropolitan market with several stores and stalls serving the shopping needs of the people of Uyo and neighbouring towns. Shop owners open their shops daily for business while some sellers in the open stalls sell on a specific market day called Etaha, once in a week. Ibibio market days are rotational. If it is on Monday this week next week it will be Tuesday and so on and so forth. Be careful when shopping in this market as fraudsters and thieves are always on the prowl to defraud and steal from unsuspecting members of the public especially those that are new to the market.

inyang effiongWhy 2 stars, you can get a lot at this market but at the price of horrendous traffic jams at night as the market squeezes the through road to a narrow passage with traffic passing in irregular spurts. During the day, it is a mild mannered market with a variety of items available including cloths in bakes. Food produce, fresh items and the usual plastic ware. Plan your trip and park well away from the market itself

Sylva AnwanahFood items and goods are sold here. The market is always busy with buyers and sellers from very early in the morning till 11pm. One has to be conscious with his or her phone/handbag to avoid being a victim of pick pockets. There is a special market day that holds once a week; on such days, items are sold at very cheap and affordable rates. The market is close to Itam and AKTC parks where you can board a vehicle to any part of the country.
