No! No!! No!!! This hotel could certainly do much better! Good building, good rooms and bathroom, but very poor housekeeping and even poorer management. I checked in here on Sunday 28/04/2019 and I was totally disappointed - - Dirty bed sheets - No soap in the bathroom - AC not working throughout the night. I woke up soaked. - No waste bin in the rooms and none in the hallway. - Access to only two TV channels at a time which are randomly changed by a staff. TV so tiny. - No Wi-Fi Management needs to either improve or be changed.

This hotel is poorly maintained as bathroom was flooded due to bad W/C, old floor and wall tiles, broken doors. Light or generator was off in the night and mosquitoes had a field day. Highly disappointing of a place called "Unical Hotel". They should change the name to a local name or hand it over to a contractor to upgrade and manage immediately. Shameful!

Although the hotel needs some touch up maintenance; the location gives it an edge. It is 10 minute drive to Marina Resort and 30 minutes away from Cercotan Monkey Drill. University of Calabar Hotel also boasts of a conference hall equipped with Air conditioners and good stage lighting. The 500-seaters capacity hall comes with 400 seats and 90 tables in the package, and a spacious car park.
