Ibom Plaza is a picturesque park that is located at the heart of Uyo capital metropolis. A tourist attraction sport, a hub for SMEs which saves as major event center. Visitors who come into the state can hang out here and catch a breathe of fresh air. There are relaxation spots all around the plaza. Restaurants, bar, drinking spot, etc, are here in the plaza. Phone shops, boutiques, photo shops, etc, are all around the plaza. Ibom plaza is always booming with pedestrian, sellers, buyers, from dawn to 1 am. Its a nice place to be, thanks to our former governor, Arch. Obong Victor Attah who built this place during his tenure.

Events are sometimes held at the Ibom Plaza like football matches of the Nigerian national team or the state sponsored football team Akwa United and many a times religious or political events. The Ïbøm plaza is the geographical centre of Uyo municipality & it is the central transport hub of the Åkwá Ïbøm state capital as all major roads meet here at this junction.It is actually named after the abstract statue of a masquerade called Ïbøm in local parlance ;the tallest of masquerades. The statue is at the roundabout. Oron road plus Nwaniba road Ikot Ekpene road Aka road Abak (Olu Obasanjo) way Barracks(Wellington Bassey) way all pour into the Ïbøm plaza. There is a red-brick hemispherical amphitheater (Roman-style) with a mega screen outdoor television for public viewing. A dozen bars that sell food, drinks & grilled beef plus clean public toilets(charges vary) & shopping area for clothes & fashion accessories in addition to mobile phones. Traffic is high, pedestrians mill & photographers throng this thoroughfare. A police station is situated at the entrance to help curb crime.

However, the place was built to accommodate a lot of people which is not happening in Uyo. This makes their movies slightly more expensive than the other regular cinemas. A bandstand forms a major architectural feature and is a venue for outdoor entertainment along with a large outdoor viewing screen to show soccer games and films. A children’s play area adds to the leisure provision for all of the town’s younger age groups. Ancillary facilities include a maintenance building, car park, public toilets and an access footbridge. It is a wonderful sight to behold at night. The Ibom Plaza accommodates shopping Malls, a medical centre, bustling business centres, parking lots, game centres, art shops and eating centres for families and friends to spend their leisure.

Phone shops, boutiques, photo shops, etc, are all around the plaza. Ibom plaza is always booming with pedestrian, sellers, buyers, from dawn to 1 am. Its a nice place to be, thanks to our former governor, Arch. Obong Victor Attah who built this place during his tenure.

The statue is at the roundabout. Oron road plus Nwaniba road Ikot Ekpene road Aka road Abak (Olu Obasanjo) way Barracks(Wellington Bassey) way all pour into the Ïbøm plaza. There is a red-brick hemispherical amphitheater (Roman-style) with a mega screen outdoor television for public viewing. A dozen bars that sell food, drinks & grilled beef plus clean public toilets(charges vary) & shopping area for clothes & fashion accessories in addition to mobile phones. Traffic is high, pedestrians mill & photographers throng this thoroughfare. A police station is situated at the entrance to help curb crime.

Ibom Plaza is a picturesque park that is located at the heart of Uyo capital metropolis. A tourist attraction sport, a hub for SMEs which saves as major event center. Visitors who come into the state can hang out here and catch a breathe of fresh air. There are relaxation spots all around the plaza. Restaurants, bar, drinking spot, etc, are here in the plaza. Phone shops, boutiques, photo shops, etc, are all around the plaza. Ibom plaza is always booming with pedestrian, sellers, buyers, from dawn to 1 am. Its a nice place to be, thanks to our former governor, Arch. Obong Victor Attah who built this place during his tenure.

The Ïbøm plaza is the geographical centre of Uyo municipality & it is the central transport hub of the Åkwá Ïbøm state capital as all major roads meet here at this junction.It is actually named after the abstract statue of a masquerade called Ïbøm in local parlance ;the tallest of masquerades. The statue is at the roundabout. Oron road plus Nwaniba road Ikot Ekpene road Aka road Abak (Olu Obasanjo) way Barracks(Wellington Bassey) way all pour into the Ïbøm plaza. There is a red-brick hemispherical amphitheater (Roman-style) with a mega screen outdoor television for public viewing. A dozen bars that sell food, drinks & grilled beef plus clean public toilets(charges vary) & shopping area for clothes & fashion accessories in addition to mobile phones. Traffic is high, pedestrians mill & photographers throng this thoroughfare. A police station is situated at the entrance to help curb crime.

The plaza is a beautiful art-piece with sparkling walkways, overhead bridges and strategically located park seats and a landscape displaying a selection of uniquely beautiful flowers which gives it an exotic outlook. It also serves as a venue for important State and private functions like marriage receptions among others.

Located in the heart of Uyo, It used to be a nice place built for relaxation and hangouts where people stopped to takes pictures, have fun and feel good but it has become a place for all kinds of trading activities. Poorly maintained by the government, Ibom plaza is now ridden with hoodlums and is no longer a safe place to relax. Be careful when you walk through this place your phone or jewelry May disappear.

The plaza consists of a long tree lined promenade with two outdoor dining areas either side of an exciting central fountain. A bandstand forms a major architectural feature and is a venue for outdoor entertainment along with a large outdoor viewing screen to show soccer games and films. A children’s play area adds to the leisure provision for all of the town’s younger age groups. Ancillary facilities include a maintenance building, car park, public toilets and an access footbridge. It is a wonderful sight to behold at night. The Ibom Plaza accommodates shopping Malls, a medical centre, bustling business centres, parking lots, game centres, art shops and eating centres for families and friends to spend their leisure.
