Just like all the Universities in Nigeria she offers a for year bachalors degree programes in a variety of disciplines ranging from history to medicine and engineering. Most of the students live on campus while the rest are off campus.the Abia state University is located in a hilly area with a braath taking scenery. If you like mountain climbing this a place for you. The university is a bee hive of activites even after working hours as campus life is very vibrant. The campus is surroundesd by commercial enterprises servicing the institution such as buses,cafeteria,bookshops, business centers, internet cafes, grocery stores and even a full scale market.
