This is one of the largest markets in Africa. In there market, you can get everything you need to buy in retail or wholesale quantities. It is the one market patronised by business men and women within the south east, south south and south west. Some business men and women in the far northern states also buy from here.. I visited the A-Line for fashions. You will not get the items you want if only you did not search well. However, the market is very big the possibility of going round within a day is zero because you will surely get tired. The transportation from Park (or Peace Parole) is between 80 naira and 100 naira by bus. Of course there are banks within the Ariaria Market.

The Ariaria International Market is an open-air market located in Aba, a city in Abia State Southeast Nigeria. The market is one of the largest markets in West Africa and nicknamed "China of Africa" because of its versatility in the making of wears and leather works. It can be crowded at times, especially trying to find your way into the market. But I assure you of great price. Just be careful while working round the market hold your valuable stuffs like money and phone securely and always price items in different shops before buying or kindly get a hint on price range of products or else you might get deceived by marketers sweet running Mouth.

  • M
    Michael McCorkle
Photo above of the market is misleading, you do not commonly see Europeans or Americans in the market. The market itself is a mixed bag. On the good side, you can get virtually anything in this market. People are generally friendly. On the bad, in the rainy season (June - October) the roads are horrible, over crowding is oppressive. They do the best they can, but circumstances in large Nigerian cities are bad beyond their control.

Ariaria is a market you are sure to find what you need at a cheaper rate. you can find quality and few substandard items. it is best visited when it is not raining or during dry seasons. when it rains, the ground is really water logged and messy. plan ahead of time and be early if you are a first timer. wednesdays and fridays are rush days.

Aariaria market is situated at aba, abia state. It is a very good big market, occupants of aariaria market specialised in the production of locally made Goods. Example :shoes, bets, stove, cars, cloth etc. The environment is very poor :no Road network, littered environment, lack of pipe born water etc. Generally cause of living is cheap.
