Richmond Idaeho
This hotel is situate along Azikiwe Road, a very strategic, busy and popular area in Aba. The hotel has several rooms and relatively on a budget.
The rooms are quite decent. The hotel has strict rules. It requires payment of security deposit in case of damage or loss of item in the room. Upon logging, the logger is provided with the necessary items like soap, tissue and towel, but also included is the remote control of the tv set in the room. Quite funny! Well, maybe the hotel has recorded loss of tv remote control in some time past.
However, the staff are to some extent rigid and the services are unsatisfactory. The hotel gets so noisy at night. It has a public bar and it appears to be a night club or lounge as well.
The food is very very poor. I mean very very poor. And it is expensive. It is not tasty; it is of very small quantity; and the meat are as small like a button of a shirt.
Depending on what you want, if you want a budget accommodation then you may find the place quite convenient to stay, but I would not recommend their food for the reasons stated above.
I will expect the hotel to raise their hospitality standard especially from their staff, as well as improve on their services and delivery turn around time. Their food should be better prepared, reduce the cost and serve quality food with good pieces of meat and not meat as small like a dot!
